Job Summary:

Account Managers perform routine responsibilities and are primary points of contact for clients. They develop coverage strategies and plans with occasional guidance or supervision.

Responsibilities:
  • Service accounts, including transactions such as quoting, issuing policies, ID cards, endorsements, certificates, claims, renewals, follow-up, and correspondence.
  • Respond to client inquiries, incoming mail, and company requests promptly.
  • Assist with insurance marketing and sales.
  • Collect renewal data on assigned accounts.
  • Support claims processes.
  • Develop coverage strategies and plans as needed.
  • Review policies and endorsements for accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate client data in agency management system (Applied Systems / EPIC).
  • Document all activities in the agency management system.
  • Utilize upload, download, and interface technology effectively.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper policy issuance.
  • Keep Producers informed of account activities and potential issues.
  • Stay current with industry trends through educational seminars and training.
  • Maintain knowledge of underwriting requirements and policy provisions.
  • Perform other duties and back-up responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Active Property & Casualty License required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Mathematical skills for calculating figures like premiums and discounts.
  • Reasoning skills to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
  • Experience with Applied Systems / EPIC is a plus.
  • Knowledge of insurance principles and application in daily situations.
Education/Experience:
  • High School diploma required; Associate Degree or higher preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in commercial lines.
  • CPCU or specialized training is a plus.

Posted compensation range for Colorado and California applicants: $60,000 - $90,000 annually.
