Commercial Insurance Account Manager Job Description:

Join Coverdash’s Commercial Risk Unit! As an Account Manager, you will build and manage small to mid-sized commercial accounts, handle renewals, support a team of insurance producers, and become a commercial insurance expert. You will work in a fast-paced startup environment, collaborating with technical teams to develop efficient processes and systems for the P&C insurance industry. The role is remote, with core hours from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Eastern Time, and can be based anywhere in the U.S.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  1. P&C commercial insurance renewal sales and service
  2. Managing client relationships and accounts up to $20MM revenue
  3. Developing and implementing competitive insurance programs
  4. Serving as the primary client contact for daily service requests
  5. Growing a profitable book of business through strategic placement
  6. Customer success, account management, and sales
  7. Organizing client information for policy processing
  8. Managing data entry and document organization in agency systems
  9. Building relationships with commercial underwriters

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of P&C commercial sales or brokerage experience
  • Property and Casualty insurance license in good standing
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Customer service professionalism and tact
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced features
  • Resourcefulness, initiative, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management skills
  • Willingness to learn and adopt new technology systems
  • Intermediate project management skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with CRM/AMS and rating platforms
  • Insurtech or startup experience is a plus

The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $120,000 per year, including commission/variable pay. Compensation is competitive and includes benefits. Pay decisions depend on qualifications, experience, skills, location, and business needs.
