Job summary

Brown & Brown in the United States is seeking an organized Account Manager to join our Revenue Team. This role serves as a critical link between clients, brokers, and the company, handling new business and renewals while delivering exceptional service.

The successful candidate will manage end-to-end processes, maintain compliant records, and collaborate with sales to grow revenue. Proficiency in CRM (Salesforce) and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years’ experience in captive and/or commercial Property/Casualty insurance.
  • Associate’s degree in a relevant field; equivalent professional experience considered.
  • Active P&C license or ability to obtain within initial 90 days of employment.
  • CPCU, AU, ARM, ACI designations or similar are preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, particularly Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.

Responsibilities

  • New Business and Renewal Process Management: Oversee all aspects of the new business and renewal process, including applications, loss summaries, pricing indications, quotes, and proposals.
  • Client and Broker Inquiries: Respond promptly and courteously to all client and broker/producer inquiries.
  • Sales Collaboration: Collaborate with the Sales Team to drive new business and retain renewal revenue.
  • Policy Coordination: Coordinate with brokers and clients on policy coverage, changes, and exclusions.
  • Loss Analysis: Review and analyze Loss Runs from various carriers to succinctly summarize the claims portfolio of an insured.
  • Policy Review: Review policies and all related documentation for accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
  • Client Assistance: Assist clients and brokers with coverage changes, binders, and endorsements, cross-selling appropriate services.
  • Client Retention Initiatives: Develop and implement ongoing client retention initiatives with the CRO’s teams.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate, compliant client records, including communications and transactions.
  • Policy Renewal and Billing: Renew policies, verify renewals, ensure billing accuracy, and deliver proposals as needed.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry developments, new products, legislation, coverages, and tech to improve knowledge and performance.
  • Salesforce Proficiency: Utilize Salesforce for input, documentation, and performing tasks to expedite client service and compliance.
  • Client Communication: Provide clear answers to clients and brokers.
  • Policy Drafting: Draft policies, declarations, notices, and endorsements using ISO and manuscript forms.
  • Documentation Preparation and Review: Prepare documentation including policies, reinsurance, loss runs, and billing inputs.
  • Service Provider Relationships: Maintain relationships with auditors, actuaries, attorneys, TPAs, carriers/reinsurers, etc.
  • Claims Coordination: Coordinate with claims to obtain loss data when needed.
  • AI Tools: Demonstrate working proficiency in acceptable usage of AI tools.

Facilitate corrections as necessary and deliver proposals when needed.Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry developments, new products, legislation, coverages, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.Salesforce Proficiency: Utilize the Salesforce platform for input, documentation, and performing technical tasks to expedite client service and maintain standards of compliance.Client Communication: Provide clear answers to clients and/or Brokers for questions received.Policy Drafting: Initiate the drafting of policies forms, declarations, notices and endorsements using both ISO and manuscript forms.Documentation Preparation and Review: Prepare and review related documentation, including policies, reinsurance and service contracts, feasibility analysis charts, loss runs, annual meeting documents, financial statements, and billing inputs.Service Provider Relationships: Maintain relationships with various service providers, including independent auditors, actuaries, attorneys, TPAs, carriers/reinsurers, reinsurance brokers, and fronting carriers.Claims Coordination: Coordinate with the claims department to obtain loss data as needed.Artificial Intelligence: Have working proficiency in the acceptable usage and application of various AI tools.Qualifications and TraitsIndustry Experience: At least 3 years’ experience in captive and/or commercial Property/Casualty insurance required.Educational Background: Minimum of an Associate’s degree in a relevant field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.Licensing: Active P&C insurance license or the ability to obtain one within the initial 90 days of employment.Insurance Designations: strongly preferred, including but not limited to CPCU, AU, ARM, ACI, etc.Customer Service Skills: Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills.Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in CRM software, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
