Job Description

Title: Account Manager Associate - Commercial Lines

Location: Remote, supporting our Gainesville, GA branch. Focus areas include franchised dealerships, construction, manufacturing & distribution, and cyber insurance.

About the Role

Provide administrative and customer service support to the account team, producer, and/or assigned group of accounts. Work independently with minimal supervision from an Account Manager, Account Executive, or Producer, ensuring standards are met while minimizing liability. Resolve moderately complex customer service issues and manage smaller or less complex accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
  • Assist in managing daily activities and workflow of support staff.
  • Handle customer requests related to policies, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
  • Manage policy expirations and renewals.
  • Conduct client research, gather underwriting info, analyze loss runs, prepare submissions, evaluate and negotiate coverage and pricing, and follow up for policy issuance.
  • Process tasks accurately within deadlines.
  • Review contracts to ensure proper coverage inclusion.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and act on delinquent accounts.
  • Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms for data accuracy.
  • Ensure timely completion of activities and communicate workload status to the team.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and respond proactively to needs.
  • Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
  • Seek continuous improvement and demonstrate integrity and leadership in line with IOA values.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
  • 7+ years of customer service experience in the insurance industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
  • Active insurance license required; professional designation preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
