Title: Account Manager Associate - Commercial Lines

Location: Remote, supporting our Gainesville, GA branch | Book focus: Franchised Dealerships, Construction, Manufacturing & Distribution, Cyber

About the Role:

Provide administrative and customer service support to the account team, producers, and/or assigned accounts. Work independently with minimal supervision from an Account Manager, Account Executive, or Producer, ensuring standards are met and liabilities are minimized. Manage smaller or less complex accounts and resolve customer service issues proactively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
  • Assist in directing daily activities of support staff and team members.
  • Handle customer requests related to policies, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
  • Manage policy expirations and renewals.
  • Conduct client research, gather underwriting info, analyze loss runs, prepare submissions, evaluate and negotiate coverages and pricing, and follow through on policy issuance.
  • Process tasks accurately within deadlines.
  • Review contracts to ensure proper coverage inclusion.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on delinquent accounts.
  • Maintain agency management systems and carrier platforms, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Monitor activity and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Communicate regularly with the team about workload and issues.
  • Deliver excellent service, anticipate client needs, and respond promptly.
  • Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
  • Seek continuous improvement and best practices.
  • Demonstrate integrity and leadership, aligning with IOA values.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
  • 7+ years of customer service experience in insurance.
  • Deep knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
  • Active licensing required; professional designation preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
