Job Description
Title: Account Manager Associate - Commercial Lines

Location: Remote | Supporting our Gainesville, GA Branch | Book Focus: Franchised Dealerships, Construction, Manufacturing & Distribution, Cyber

About the Role:

Provide administrative and customer service support to the account team, Producer, and/or assigned group of accounts. Work with minimal supervision from an Account Manager, Account Executive, or Producer to ensure standards are met while minimizing liability. Independently resolve moderately complex customer service issues and manage smaller or less complex accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Technical Competence: Maintain industry expertise.
  2. Team Leadership: Assist in directing daily activities of support staff.
  3. Customer Service: Handle requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
  4. Policy Management: Manage expirations and renewals.
  5. Renewal Process: Conduct research, gather underwriting info, analyze loss runs, prepare submissions, evaluate coverages, negotiate pricing, present proposals, bind coverage, and follow up for issuance.
  6. Task Processing: Complete tasks accurately within deadlines.
  7. Contract Review: Review contracts for proper coverage.
  8. Accounts Receivable: Monitor reports and follow up on delinquent accounts.
  9. System Maintenance: Keep agency management and carrier/vendor systems updated.
  10. Activity Monitoring: Ensure timely completion of activities.
  11. Communication: Maintain transparent communication with the team.
  12. Service Excellence: Deliver proactive, high-quality service.
  13. Policy Compliance: Stay updated on policies and procedures.
  14. Continuous Improvement: Adopt best practices for performance.
  15. Champion IOA Values: Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of customer service experience in insurance.
  • Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
  • Active licensing; professional designation preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
