Job summary

Commercial Metals in Texas is seeking an early-career procurement professional to purchase scrap metal and support sourcing activities. You will update knowledge, grow business with assigned accounts, and maintain precise buying records.

The role requires 1–3 years in business or operations, flexibility to relocate after the program, and strong communication. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years business or operations experience (can include intern experience).
• Willingness to relocate at the end of the program if the next opportunity is at a different location.
• Leadership skills in professional, educational, and/or social experiences.
• Buying/selling skill and product knowledge.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Must be able to travel within assigned region and other areas as needed.
• Must have effective listening and verbal skills to identify important information and to engage with internal and external customers.

• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
• Develops the growth of business activities and profit with assigned accounts
