This is a net-new account management role with a key focus on account growth and retention across our hedge fund, asset management, private equity, and consulting clients. Your job is to grow the accounts you own, expanding usage, growing the user base within each client, and driving renewals, while making sure clients get the research support they need to keep coming back. A smaller portion of the role supports new business alongside sales. You'll own the post-sale relationship end to end, from onboarding through project delivery to renewal and expansion conversations.
What you'll do
- Own client relationships across a portfolio of institutional accounts, driving growth, expansion, and retention
- Act as the key point of contact and thought partner, helping clients scope and commission impactful survey research
- Translate open-ended client questions into tight research briefs: objectives, target populations, sample size, quotas, timing, and budget
- Coordinate internally with research and product teams so design, fieldwork tracking, quality control, and timelines stay on track
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact during live projects and review deliverables before they go out
- Build account plans covering key stakeholders, usage patterns, upcoming catalysts, and expansion opportunities, then drive against them: grow the number of users on each account, expand into new teams and geographies, convert one-off studies into recurring tracking programs, and land renewals
- Support new business alongside sales
- Design and iterate the account management playbook: onboarding checklists, QBR templates, health scoring, renewal process
- Track key metrics including net revenue retention, expansion revenue, project NPS, time-to-first-value, and usage versus entitlements
Who you are
- 2-4+ years of client-facing experience in expert networks, primary research, alternative data, or high-touch B2B data, analytics, or SaaS into financial services
- A track record of managing multiple concurrent client projects while driving renewals and expansion, not just servicing accounts
- Experience working with sophisticated stakeholders: investors, consultants, senior leaders
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to operate without heavy structure or process
- Curious about how investors and consultants make decisions and where primary research fits in
- Values ownership and accountability, and cares about outcomes over activity
Key Abilities and Skills
- Strong client communication, written and verbal, credible with PMs, analysts, PE associates, and consulting partners
- Ability to scope and structure research projects, turning an investment question into a well-defined brief
- Excellent organization and project management across multiple live projects, stakeholders, and deadlines
- Commercial mindset: understands account growth levers and is comfortable with budget and renewal conversations
- Analytical comfort: can read research outputs, sanity check them, and pull out the key takeaways
