Jobtailor is seeking a property management professional to support the General Manager in driving leasing, occupancy, and financial performance. You will help maintain accurate ledgers, process leases, and manage vendor payments while collaborating with the leasing team to maximize occupancy and leasing opportunities.

Qualifications

Job description

• Support the General Manager in building a high-performing, motivated, and professional team
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative office environment that delivers exceptional customer service
• Help implement and improve systems, procedures, and standards to enhance operational efficiency and reduce expenses
• Maintain open and effective communication with the General Manager
• Support relationships with the school, community organizations, and local businesses
• Participate in on-campus and community outreach events to boost awareness and leasing performance
• Collaborate with the Leasing Manager and team to leverage marketing opportunities
• Keep marketing materials, websites, and listings accurate and up to date
• Maintain property occupancy at or above 99% and collections at or above 98% of potential income
• Support NOI goals through cost control, income generation, and budget oversight
• Oversee collections and keep delinquencies below 2% of total income
• Maintain accurate resident ledgers and financial transactions in property management software such as Entrata
• Process leases, perform regular audits, and manage vendor payments and accounts payable
• Provide first-class service to residents, prospects, parents, and community partners
• Network with university officials, student organizations, and local stakeholders
• Support the leasing team in showing and leasing apartments
• Monitor market trends and competitors

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; or 2–4 years of experience in student housing or a similar property management setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong accounting skills and comfort with financial software
• Proficiency in property management platforms (Entrata preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Working knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and industry best practices
• Experience as a Leasing Agent ready to gain broader exposure to property management
