Responsibilities

  • Professionally manage and lead the property team in daily community operations.
  • Establish maintenance and team schedules and hold team members accountable for performance and engagement.
  • Coach and develop the team to create an inclusive workplace.
  • Manage budgets, accounts, rent collections, and tenant notices using software accurately and timely.
  • Review applications, background checks, and credit checks for process compliance.
  • Conduct file audits and handle administrative tasks, including filing taxes.
  • Report escalated problems and issues to the Asset Director.
  • Prepare client reporting and supporting documentation for regular client meetings.
  • Communicate operational variances, concerns, and positive impacts using a solution-driven approach.
  • Enforce policies and procedures for new leases and resident recertifications.
  • Greet residents, applicants, and others courteously and respectfully.
  • Respond to and resolve residents' questions, concerns, and complaints.
  • Inspect property conditions and coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Ensure community and buildings comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Investigate complaints and resolve conflicts.
  • Secure the property, implement safety precautions, respond to emergencies, and complete required documentation.
  • Ensure work-related activities comply with company standards fairly, ethically, and consistently
  • Perform other assigned tasks

Requirements

  • Financial skills/background to manage the property budget, accounts, and rent collections
  • Positive and professional image with a strong leadership orientation
  • Great customer service with excellent communication skills from relatable experience in property management, hospitality, retail service, or similar
  • 2+ years of multi-family leasing management experience required with multiple years of leasing experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with excellent time management
  • Superb scheduling and prioritizing skills to coordinate work with vendors and contractors
  • Ability to effectively and professionally support property team members in daily procedures and processes
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) required
  • Property Management Software database experience preferred
  • Bilingual preferred but not required
  • Valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation
