Job summary

Hollingsworth LLC seeks an Automotive Customer Account Manager to serve as the primary commercial contact for assigned automotive customers, building long-term relationships and driving profitable results. You will coordinate internal teams, manage contracts, and protect Hollingsworth’s commercial interests to sustain growth.

You will lead growth opportunities across accounts, track quotations and pricing, and ensure commitments are delivered on time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of account management, sales, customer service, automotive logistics, manufacturing, packaging, or supply-chain experience preferred.
  • Automotive OEM, Tier 1 supplier, or automotive supply-chain experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong relationship management, business development, commercial, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple customers, projects, and priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to analyze operational and financial information and develop customer solutions.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary commercial contact and build trusted relationships across customer functions and leadership.
  • Maintain regular communication to understand performance, priorities, challenges, and future needs.
  • Lead customer meetings, business reviews, and facility visits.
  • Understand customer decision makers, purchasing structure, and strategic priorities.
  • Address concerns proactively and ensure commitments are communicated and completed on time.
  • Identify opportunities to expand revenue and services within assigned accounts.
  • Develop relationships across customer plants, programs, divisions, and decision makers.
  • Maintain an opportunity pipeline, annual growth targets, and account-specific growth plans.
  • Partner with Sales on RFQs, RFPs, pricing, proposals, and new-business pursuits.
  • Track opportunities through quotation, negotiation, award, launch, and revenue realization.
  • Manage contracts, pricing, scopes of work, commercial commitments, and renewals.
  • Coordinate pricing adjustments when costs, volumes, scope, or operating requirements change.
  • Prepare and review quotations, proposals, and pricing models.
  • Protect profitability by identifying scope changes, unquoted services, and added costs.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations on account profitability, chargebacks, claims, and pricing disputes.
  • Translate customer requirements into clear internal deliverables, owners, and deadlines.
  • Coordinate forecasts, volumes, schedules, packaging, inventory, launches, and special projects.
  • Support escalations and operational changes while maintaining clear customer communication.
  • Understand operational capabilities and constraints before making customer commitments.
  • Monitor KPIs, scorecards, service levels, quality, profitability, and contract performance.
  • Partner with internal teams on corrective actions, recovery plans, cost savings, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead business reviews and communicate results, risks, opportunities, and competitive threats.
  • Maintain account forecasts and demonstrate measurable customer value.
  • Protect customer relationships and secure contract extensions and renewals.
  • Document customer meetings, opportunities, quotations, action items, and follow-up activities.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts and organized records of contracts, pricing, contacts, reviews, and commercial correspondence.

Position Summary

The Automotive Customer Account Manager is the primary commercial contact for assigned automotive customers. This role builds long-term relationships, protects and grows business, manages contracts and account performance, and coordinates internal teams to deliver service, value, and profitable results.

The Account Manager represents the customer internally while protecting Hollingsworth’s commercial interests and supporting the company’s “Everybody Sells” culture.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary commercial contact and build trusted relationships across customer functions and leadership.
  • Maintain regular communication to understand performance, priorities, challenges, and future needs.
  • Lead customer meetings, business reviews, and facility visits.
  • Understand customer decision makers, purchasing structure, and strategic priorities.

Account Growth and Business Development
