Job summary

First Search Inc. is seeking a licensed Employee Benefits Account Manager to service group benefits accounts and assist clients with health and life insurance needs. The role is hybrid, serving clients in the western and southern suburbs.

Responsibilities include renewals, enrollments, terminations, plan administration, and client relationship management with carriers and TPAs. Competitive base salary $55,000–$75,000 and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Active Life & Health Insurance license required.
• 1+ years of experience in an employee benefits account management or servicing role.
• Strong knowledge of group benefits products including medical, dental, vision, life and disability.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with HubSpot CRM or ticketing systems is a plus.

• Manage day-to-day servicing of assigned employee benefits accounts, including renewals, enrollments, terminations, and ongoing plan administration.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships with employers, carriers, and internal teams.
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of plan documents, communications, and required updates.
• Coordinate with multiple insurance carriers and third-party administrators (TPAs) to resolve issues and ensure smooth policy issuance and renewals.
• Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve billing issues and guide employees through claims-related inquiries.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date account and client records within the agency management system.
• Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and employee benefits product offerings.
