Job summary

Expeditors, a global logistics leader headquartered in Seattle, is seeking an Account Manager to own day-to-day operations for a strategic technology customer across the U.S. and international sites.

You will ensure GPS devices are deployed, stocked, and ready, while managing exceptions and escalations through resolution. You will lead onboarding, develop SOPs, coordinate with warehouses, carriers, and vendors, and drive process improvements across multiple locations.

Job Description

To own day-to-day operations for a strategic global technology customer: to keep GPS tracking devices deployed, stocked, and ready at every shipping location; to manage shipment exceptions and security escalations through to resolution; and to build the SOPs, onboarding, and process improvements that let the program scale across U.S. and international sites. The Account Manager is the customer’s operational point of contact and the person who makes sure issues are identified early, owned completely, and closed out with consistent follow-through.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations for a strategic global technology customer, supporting high-value shipments across U.S. and international locations.
• Coordinate GPS tracking device deployment and inventory, including replenishment, activation, installation requirements, and site readiness.
• Manage shipment exceptions and security escalations, working with operations teams, logistics providers, and customer stakeholders through resolution.
• Lead new shipper onboarding, including coordinating training, establishing processes, and ensuring teams are ready to execute.
• Develop and maintain customer-specific SOPs for device placement, shipment monitoring, escalation protocols, and operational procedures.
• Coordinate daily with customer stakeholders, warehouses, freight forwarders, carriers, shippers, and internal monitoring teams to address operational exceptions.
• Support pilots and new technology rollouts, including implementation, monitoring performance, gathering feedback, and documenting results.
• Review shipment, device, and inventory performance to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong ownership and accountability: proactively manages issues from identification through resolution with consistent follow-through.
• Operations-focused account management experience supporting complex, high-volume enterprise customers.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, locations, and workstreams simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify operational gaps and implement practical solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across customers, operations teams, vendors, and internal teams.
• Comfortable managing time-sensitive escalations and coordinating rapid response and resolution.
• Process-oriented, with experience developing and implementing SOPs, operational workflows, training, and new-site rollouts.
• Logistics, supply chain, or transportation experience preferred, particularly within complex or high-value shipping environments.
• University degree or equivalent business qualifications.
• Minimum 3 years of Expeditors or industry experience.
• Proficient in MS Office and CRM software; comfortable working in shipment-visibility and tracking platforms.

Salary range: Base Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 + Account Commission
