Title: Account Manager
Reports to: VP of Sales & Marketing
Location: Remote: Central or West Coast Preferred

OVERVIEW
We are seeking an Account Manager to join our expanding team! Ideal candidate will manage an existing account base of key customers in the food ingredient industry. The focus of this position is on short term sales with a sales cycle of 3 to 9 months to deliver growth for a new strategic business in the organization.


What You’ll Be Doing
  • Develop new opportunities using a sales model and progress them through the selling cycle.
  • Engage with the top 10 accounts weekly, collaborating with at least two other stakeholders.
  • Use a Sales Progression Model to prepare for sales calls, assess opportunities, and update the CRM system.
  • Create regular call reports summarizing customer conversations and actions.
  • Generate monthly reports summarizing interactions, new opportunities, and sales performance.
  • Negotiate and share strategy/tactics before pivotal negotiations.
  • Participate in relevant training to gain knowledge and improve performance.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Food Science, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 4 to 15 years of sales experience, including developing and executing business plans.
  • Experience with specialty ingredients in nutritional bars, snacks, cereals, or confectionery is a plus.
  • Proven ability to develop new accounts and relationships and leverage a strong contact list.
  • Integrity, trust, strong business acumen, and strategic thinking.
  • Proficiency with digital tools, Excel, presentation skills, and forecasting tools.
  • English proficiency is required; Spanish is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel 25-50% for trade shows, sales meetings, and client visits.

What We’re Offering
  • Base Salary: $120k-140k
  • Bonus eligibility: 15% (5% company performance, 5% personal objectives, 5% individual accounts) + new business incentive (paid twice a year)
