Job description

The Account Executive is responsible for meeting and exceeding sales targets throughout the assigned territory in the Acute, Alternate site, Long Term Care, Municipal, Institutional and other markets. Sales to these markets will be driven through Dukal’s distribution network as well as any self-distribution health systems.Consistently contacts 100% of the assigned accounts in each monthly call cycle utilizing a consultative sales approach. The Account executive is expected to conduct as many salespresentations as possibleper day. Establishes/re-establishes/builds relationships with customers’ gatekeeper, main point of contact and decision-makers, and sells Dukal as a single source to consumers. The Account Executive should always have a specific reason for calling and should contact all levels within the customer that influence the sale. Account Executives’ time should be focused on existing customers, while the remaining time should be used for prospecting new customers and engaged in CRM activities.Responsible for learning and utilizing the technology, tools, and reporting provided that offer specialty purchasing history and provide efficiency in call schedule management. Distributors and end-users rely on our expertise to drive and service sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contacts each customer by phone within an assigned territory every fiscal month to consistently achieve monthly and annual sales growth goals by utilizing consultative sales techniques.
  • Works remotely utilizing technology and tools to support team meetings, general communications, and individual meetings with management.

·Develop sales opportunities through cold calling, and relationship building

·Maintains CRM accuracy, which includes maintaining the account record by capturing decision makers and account notes. Creating quotes in CRM as well as maintaining an accurate opportunity funnel that represents 5x the sales growth goal

·Identifies and develops future Flagship Distributors, and collaborates regularly with the strategic account managers

·Works with support departments to assist customers with order status, product returns, pricing discrepancies, and any other needs they may have

  • Responsible for remaining aware and knowledgeable of promotional programs and merchandising-marketing approaches by reading Marketing Communications.
  • Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work- related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures including Worldwide Business Standards.

·Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments

Specific Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong selling, customer service and negotiation skills.
  • Good telephone etiquette with the ability to call out to and answer a high volume of calls.
  • Ability to effectively answer inquiries and resolve disputes.
  • Able to learn applicable computer systems and software (Microsoft 365)
  • Work independently with limited supervision in a remote work environment

·Maintain awareness of new and incoming sales trends within the region

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

·Two years of medical sales experience, or the equivalent required

Preferred Education

·This position requires a bachelor’s degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus.

Travel/Physical Demands

·Travel typically less than 10%. Home Office Environment. No special physical demands are required.

The posted compensation for this position is $55,000. This position is eligible for a commission plan not reflected in the compensation.
