Job Overview

The Account Executive, SMB Team Sales role at T-Mobile is designed for ambitious sales professionals passionate about building customer relationships and promoting T-Mobile's products and services to underserved markets.

This is a hunter role focused on meeting and exceeding monthly sales quotas by acquiring new accounts with small and medium-sized businesses (1-299 employees). You will sell products, services, and solutions through prospecting, cold-calling, networking, and lead generation, analyzing customer needs to demonstrate the value of T-Mobile's offerings and close business.

This remote role requires candidates to reside in or plan to relocate to the Grand Rapids area.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Lead generation: Generate and pursue leads through prospecting, cold calling, and networking under sales manager supervision.
  2. Customer needs assessment: Recommend wireless solutions, including plans, data services, handsets, and accessories.
  3. Deal closing: Present and close sales deals.
  4. Skill development: Enhance prospecting, call execution, and relationship management skills; participate in training and meetings.
  5. Sales approaches: Develop effective sales strategies, solutions, and proposals.
  6. Sales automation: Utilize CRM systems like Salesforce to manage sales activities and forecasts.
Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • 1+ years of verifiable new customer acquisition sales experience, preferably in a commissioned environment (Preferred)
  • Outside B2B sales experience (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Task Management: Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment (Required)
  • Customer Service: Proven experience delivering excellent service (Required)
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal, written, and oral skills (Required)
  • Negotiation: Effective closing and negotiation skills (Required)
  • Cold Calling: Ability to cold call/door knock (Preferred)
  • Prospect Management: Experience in nurturing leads from initial contact to conversion (Preferred)
  • CRM Experience: Proficiency with CRM systems like Salesforce (Preferred)
  • Proposal Writing: Experience in preparing and delivering proposals (Preferred)

  • At least 18 years old
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Additional Information

The total target cash pay range is $71,800 - $129,400, including incentives. Base pay ranges from $43,080 to $77,640, with actual pay depending on location, qualifications, and experience. Employees are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
