Summary
The Account Executive – RFS will be responsible for existing account management activities and new account sales. The AE will identify and develop new customer business for Ryder Fuel Services (RFS) in collaboration with RFS management. The role involves research and prospecting of new customers, developing an industry network, and educating prospects on RFS services. The AE will also support existing customer service and marketing efforts, understanding competitive influences and risks.
Essential Functions
- Sales Activity – Represent RFS services, collaborate with management, accounting, and operations to facilitate contracts and close deals supporting growth and revenue targets. Interface with Ryder Sales Teams to identify synergies.
- Customer Experience – Increase sales opportunities with existing customers, build relationships with stakeholders, leverage resources to expand opportunities, support onboarding, and ensure customer orientation.
- Business Development – Identify prospects, understand customer needs, prepare value-based proposals, develop sales plans to meet targets, respond to inquiries, and align messaging with operations.
- Administrative Support – Maintain account profiles, facilitate marketing and educational efforts, and support account development activities.
- Continuous Improvement – Evaluate sales skills, enhance industry knowledge, and identify growth needs.
Additional Responsibilities
- Customize RFS solutions to meet customer needs.
- Adhere to Ryder’s Policies and Procedures, including Travel and Expense Policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
- 3+ years in downstream fueling or facilities operations, support, maintenance, and compliance (Required)
- 2+ years in sales or related customer experience (Preferred)
- Understanding of RFS product offerings and financial drivers (Required)
