What you'll do

As the Public Sector Account Executive - Federal (AE), you will focus on selling Docusign’s Contract Lifecycle Management solution (CLM), owning deals from start to finish. You will develop and close new business or expand current customer relationships within an assigned territory. The ideal candidate is a strategic hunter with strong relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve sales quotas for the company’s CLM product goals.
  • Cultivate relationships with ecosystem partners like Salesforce and System Integrators to generate pipeline.
  • Qualify sales opportunities using Docusign’s sales methodology.
  • Identify and close on new CLM business, and explore upsell/cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts across multiple lines of business.
  • Leverage internal resources (Executives, Presales, Legal, etc.) in sales campaigns.
  • Work with partners to deliver joint value propositions.
  • Accurately forecast sales activity and revenue achievements.
  • Engage with pre/post sales resources, including Sales Development Representatives, Solutions Engineers, and Customer Support.

What you bring

Basic:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years in an AE role or similar quota-carrying position.

Preferred:

  • 10+ years SaaS sales experience, specifically selling into the Federal Public Sector.
  • Experience with web-based products/services.
  • Proven success in managing and closing complex sales cycles.
  • Track record of exceeding quotas (top 10-20%).
