GuidePoint Security: Account Executive Role

GuidePoint Security provides trusted cybersecurity expertise, solutions, and services that help organizations make better decisions and minimize risk. By taking a holistic approach to evaluating security posture and ecosystems, GuidePoint enables top organizations, including Fortune 500 companies and U.S. government agencies, to identify threats, optimize resources, and implement solutions to mitigate risk.

The ideal Account Executive will proactively network, cold call, and sell to multiple contacts within organizations, including C-level executives. This role involves managing and developing customer relationships with a consultative sales approach, delivering high-quality account management services. The Territory Account Executive should understand client goals and concerns, as well as available technology partners and products, to meet client needs and solve challenges. This position focuses on expanding existing accounts and acquiring new mid-market accounts in the Pittsburgh metro area.

This is a virtual/remote role requiring candidates to be local to Pittsburgh, with some regional travel expected.

Responsibilities:
  1. Meet sales and profitability goals consistently.
  2. Configure, position, and quote product and service solutions to clients.
  3. Participate in industry organizations such as ISSA, ISACA, OWASP, etc.
  4. Manage leads and opportunities using Salesforce and other CRM tools.
  5. Accurately report sales forecasts and opportunity funnels.
  6. Create, edit, and close service proposals.
  7. Work with vendors to understand and position their technologies and value propositions.
  8. Participate in field marketing to generate interest and inform potential clients, including driving attendance at events.
  9. Represent GuidePoint to clients, articulating our areas of expertise.
  10. Set expectations and maintain open communication throughout the sales process.
  11. Leverage supporting resources effectively, fostering teamwork and cooperation.
  12. Develop and deliver professional sales presentations to large groups and executive clients.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of outside sales experience in the Pittsburgh market, preferably in cybersecurity or infrastructure/services.
  • Experience in enterprise security is preferred.
  • Strong relationships with key accounts in the territory are required.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com is necessary.
  • Excellent group presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and generating leads.
  • Ability to generate leads and open new accounts.
  • Experience selling professional services, security audits, and assessments is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Network security vendor certifications are strongly preferred.
