1 in 5 children need specialty care, and the system built to serve them is broken. Families struggle to find providers, face months-long waitlists, wrestle with insurance, and end up coordinating fragmented care on their own.
Village exists to fix that. We're building a coordinated care system for children, providers, and the families who love them, so that getting the right support for a child means clarity instead of uncertainty, and so that providers can spend their time delivering care instead of managing a back office. It takes a village, and we're building one.
The Opportunity
Village is the modern health system for specialty pediatric care. We help families find and coordinate developmental, behavioral, and therapy care (speech, occupational, physical, and ABA therapy) faster, while giving providers the infrastructure to grow and run their practices. Families get thoughtful provider matching, simpler insurance, and care coordination that's handled for them. Providers get consistent referrals, insurance billing managed on their behalf, reliable payments, and Vera, our AI-powered back‑office agent that automates documentation, scheduling, billing, and follow‑up.
The model is working. Village already has a network of 400+ vetted specialists across Southern California.
We're scaling Southern California, proving repeatability in new markets, and building toward Series A. This is the rare moment where the hard early work is done, the proof points are in hand, and the path to scale is wide open.
About the Role
The Provider Growth Account Executive is the engine behind Village's provider network.
You’ll own the full provider journey: opening the conversation, guiding providers through discovery, and welcoming them onto the network — then staying with them through onboarding until they’re live and seeing families. Your center of gravity is closing and onboarding, because that last mile is what matters: a signed agreement doesn’t help a child on a waitlist. A provider live on the network does.
You’ll never be waiting on someone else to fill your calendar. We plan to add outbound support as we scale, but you’ll know how to build your own pipeline when it’s needed — and as the team grows, you’ll spend more and more of your time doing what you do best: bringing providers on board.
This is an early‑stage role in the truest sense: some systems exist, many don’t, and you’ll thrive either way — following the playbook where it’s proven, and building it where it isn’t. This is an individual contributor role today with a direct hand in shaping how the function evolves — and real room to grow as Village does.
What You’ll Own
Closing
- Own a full pipeline of provider leads across pediatric therapy specialties (OT, PT, SLP), spanning inbound, outbound, and — as the team grows — SDR-sourced opportunities
- Convert inbound demand quickly: respond same‑day, qualify efficiently, and move providers to close
- Lead discovery calls that clearly communicate Village’s value and address objections with confidence
- Close providers onto the Village network and consistently meet or exceed monthly signed‑provider targets
Onboarding and operations
- Own provider onboarding end‑to‑end: collect and process paperwork, manage credentialing documentation (e.g., CAQH), and shepherd each provider from signed to live on the network
- Track every provider’s onboarding status meticulously, following up proactively so nothing stalls or slips through the cracks
- Maintain a clean, accurate pipeline and onboarding tracker in CRM (HubSpot or similar)
- Self‑source pipeline through outbound — cold calling, cold email, and LinkedIn outreach — especially in the near term before SDR support is in place
- Identify, research, and prioritize providers in target markets, keeping your own pipeline full without waiting on anyone
- As we hire an SDR, help define outreach cadences, messaging, and qualification criteria so top‑of‑funnel scales with quality
Building the playbook
- Surface insights from the field — objections, trends, and friction points — to improve messaging, conversion, and onboarding speed
- Build systems where none exist — trackers, processes, cadences — and improve the ones we have, so everything you touch is more repeatable when you’re done with it
Who You Are
- Closer at heart. You know how to move a conversation to a decision. Asking for the next step comes naturally, and you keep deals moving
- Outcome‑oriented. You take ownership of outcomes, not just activity. A provider isn’t done until they’re onboarded and live — and you drive it there
- Self‑sufficient on pipeline. You don’t wait for leads to be handed to you. Cold calls and cold emails don’t intimidate you — if the pipeline is thin, you fill it
- Resourceful and autonomous. You don’t need daily direction or hand‑holding — give you a goal and you’ll figure out the path, whether that’s navigating around a “no” or teaching yourself a new tool in the tech stack to get there faster
- A hustler with a competitive streak. You bring the energy of a competitor — you keep score, you hate losing, and you put in the work others won’t. Many of our favorite people have an athlete’s mentality: disciplined, coachable, and relentless
- Operationally rigorous. You’re organized and detail‑oriented. Paperwork, credentialing steps, and follow‑ups get tracked and completed — nothing falls through the cracks
- Builds systems, works without them. You can operate in ambiguity when there’s no process yet — and your instinct is to create one, so the next person (or the next hundred providers) moves faster
- Takes pride in the work. Professional in every interaction, polished in every follow‑up. Providers should feel Village’s quality from the very first touch — and that starts with you
- Mission‑driven. You care about improving access to care and connecting providers with families who need them — and that shows in how you sell
What We’re Looking For
- Los Angeles‑based preferred — we work in‑office Tuesday through Thursday. Open to candidates further away for the right person
- 2–5 years of sales experience (full‑cycle or SDR → closing progression), with a proven track record of closing and meeting or exceeding quota
- Comfortable self‑sourcing pipeline through cold calling, cold email, and LinkedIn — you’ve done outbound and can do it again without SDR support
- Experience in provider network growth, provider recruiting, or network development is a strong plus
- Experience with provider onboarding or credentialing (e.g., CAQH) is a strong plus
- Strong CRM discipline (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) and excellent organizational habits
- Comfortable learning and leveraging sales tech independently; experience using AI tools for sales (prospecting, outreach, research) is a bonus
- Experience at an early‑stage startup — or another environment where you built process from scratch — is a plus
- Background in healthcare, digital health, marketplace, or SaaS is a plus
- Familiarity with pediatric therapy, private practices, or provider workflows is a plus
