Account Executive, Pathology Sales- Oncology Division (Northwest)

Oncology Sales is a dedicated organization inside Guardant Health focused on the commercialization of the Guardant 360 and Reveal portfolio. This team is committed to bringing our early to advanced-stage cancer tests to market swiftly to serve patients who can benefit from our analytics and proprietary testing.

About the Role:

The Pathology Account Executive will drive growth in diagnostic pathology and precision oncology accounts by building strong partnerships with healthcare providers. The focus will be on increasing tissue testing volume through strategic sales, education, and account development across hospitals, oncology centers, and physician networks.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Drive overall tissue volume in assigned regions.
  • Promote adoption of precision oncology diagnostics and Guardant’s testing portfolio.

Sales & Business Development:

  • Execute Laboratory Service Agreements and facilitate timely contract signing.
  • Negotiate pricing agreements and manage escalation of pricing exceptions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and partners on higher-level agreements.
  • Present services to hospital and pathology department leadership.
  • Target and close new tissue testing business in pathology and oncology settings.
  • Manage and expand existing accounts, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve client issues.
  • Forecast sales and manage pipelines via CRM.
  • Secure agreements for tissue processing and reimbursement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in account management in pathology sales, diagnostics, or oncology roles.
  • Deep knowledge of FFPE Tissue-based NGS/CGP testing.
  • Understanding of pathology workflows and molecular diagnostics.
  • Customer-focused with strong influencing skills.
  • Proven sales results in a consultative environment.
  • Familiarity with pathology billing and reimbursement is a plus.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (preferably Salesforce) and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel over 50% within the territory.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pathology, business, or related field required. Advanced degrees or clinical/lab background are a plus.

The US base salary range for this position is $138,400 to $186,840, excluding benefits, bonuses, commissions, or equity. Salary is determined by location, skills, experience, and education.
