Account Executive, (Municipal)

Job Title: Account Executive

Department: Municipal

Reports to: SVP Municipal Manager

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid)

Job Responsibilities:

1. Primary customer service communication, both written and oral, with clients, sub-brokers, and underwriters
2. Maintaining excellent relations with clients, sub-brokers, underwriters, and sales executives
3. Preparing and marketing current renewal policies
4. Preparing and marketing new business opportunities
5. Assisting team members with daily communications and supporting them during absences
6. Issuing Certificates of Insurance, Binders, Invoices, Auto ID cards, Policy Changes, Renewal, and New Business Proposals
7. Knowledge of municipal Tort Immunity Law (Pennsylvania)
8. Maintaining all communications in the agency management system – all documentation is electronic
9. Participating in client-facing meetings for renewals or other needs
10. Traveling to client meetings and municipal conventions as required

Qualifications:

1. 2-3 years of commercial lines customer service experience in insurance
2. P&C license preferred
3. Underwriting experience including risk evaluation
4. Familiarity with policies such as Property, Inland Marine, Crime, General Liability, Automobile, Excess Liability, Cyber, Fiduciary, Worker’s Compensation
5. Experience with Microsoft 365, Vertafore Sagitta, ImageRight, EPIC, Excel, Word, Internet
6. Exceptional communication skills
7. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
8. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
9. Strong reading comprehension and analytical skills
10. Teamwork and independent judgment capabilities
