Position: Sales Representative (United States of America)

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

The Sales Representative presents and sells Merit products to new and existing accounts, follows up to ensure product needs are met, and makes in-service presentations to clinicians about new products. Maintains close client relationships, coordinates with marketing and sales teams for timely delivery, and provides feedback for product innovation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Establishes and maintains relationships with clients by:
    • Meeting regularly to demonstrate Merit products and explain benefits.
    • Identifying potential customers and introducing products.
    • Monitoring client satisfaction and identifying improvement opportunities.
    • Preparing customized drawings and pricing contracts.
    • Following up to increase sales volume and resolve issues.
  2. Coordinates with team to ensure timely and accurate product delivery and gathers customer feedback.
  3. Decides within authorized limits on product pricing to maximize sales and profits.
  4. Prepares monthly sales reports and participates in training and planning meetings.
  5. Maintains knowledge of Merit and competitor products, sets personal sales goals, and works as part of the sales team to increase market share.
  6. Travel as needed to perform sales duties.
  7. Performs other sales-related duties as required.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Writing, sitting, standing, bending, reading, visual and color perception, and field of vision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least three years of direct sales experience, preferably in medical products.
  • Effective communication and customer understanding skills.
  • Motivation, presentation skills, and ability to learn medical equipment usage.
  • Teamwork, organizational skills, independence, and willingness to travel.
  • Clean driving record and computer proficiency.

Compensation and Benefits

$90,000-$100,000 base salary plus commission, with benefits. Actual pay varies based on skills and experience.

Additional Information

Infectious Control Risk Category I: Exposure to blood or body fluids.
