Job description

As the Account Executive, GalileoX Partnerships, you will play a pivotal role as the second dedicated seller on a high-growth team expanding our educational impact nationwide. You will own the higher-velocity end of our pipeline: driving new partnerships with community-based organizations (CBOs), charter networks, and small-to-mid-size school districts, usually in the $25K-$75K range. You will run consultative discovery, diagnose staff capacity and curriculum gaps, and paint a clear, customized picture showing how Galileo plugs into existing district and community systems. In our team, every conversation carries two potential wins: driving revenue and extracting valuable market learnings. Your success in this role will depend on building self-sourced pipelines, navigating multiple stakeholders, timing outreach around public funding windows, and contributing to a repeatable, scalable sales playbook.

Why this Role Matters

This role powers the growth engine that makes Galileo's mission possible. By expanding our selling capacity and taking ownership of the mid-market pipeline, you unlock enterprise capacity across the team while ensuring our programs can scale smoothly. Every partnership you close puts hands-on, genuinely fun STEAM programming in front of K-8 students who need it most, cultivating an environment where young innovators shine, and school communities are fully supported.

You will be accountable for:

  • Revenue Generation & Customer FocusCarry and execute against a new-business revenue target built on deal volume ($25K-$75K average deal size) and rapid sales velocity.
  • Run consultative discovery to gain deep insight into customer needs, diagnosing staff capacity, instructor confidence, and curriculum gaps to deliver tailored enrichment solutions.
  • Close multi-stakeholder deals with buyers including program directors, assistant superintendents, district coordinators, site leaders, and finance heads and align solution proposals to public education funding cycles (such as ELO-P, ASES, 21st CCLC, and Title I).
  • Proactively promote joy across all partner interactions, leading with humor, optimism, and enthusiasm while holding a high bar for sales excellence and professionalism.
Pipeline Building & Market Expansion
  • Readily take action on new opportunities, self-sourcing a significant share of your pipeline through active outbound prospecting while qualifying inbound leads and SDR referrals.
  • Map and target K-12 school districts, charter management organizations, and CBOs both within California and across strategic expansion territories.
  • Represent GalileoX at afterschool, expanded learning, and SLED (State, Local, Education) conferences and convenings.
  • Recognize enterprise-scale opportunities early and hand them off cleanly to executive sales leadership.
Sales Motion & Strategy Development
  • Complete our intensive 3-to-5-week onboarding ramp and independently own end-to-end sales conversations within your first month.
  • Pressure-test pitch messaging, capture objection-handling insights, and document your reps to help codify the GalileoX sales playbook.
  • Embrace our culture of learning and reflection, extracting lessons from every customer interaction to continuously improve our go-to-market approach.
  • Adapt your approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of diverse educational stakeholders and varying regional markets.
Pipeline Discipline & CRM Management
  • Deliver accurate, trustworthy CRM data with pristine stage hygiene, clear next steps, and realistic close dates.
  • Forecast credibly, commit to a number, and communicate pipeline risks early to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Maintain strong documentation and follow-through across complex multi-site deals, ensuring data is correct and true.
