A leading telecommunications services provider is seeking a driven and experienced Account Executive to join their State and Local Government (SLED) sales team. This remote-first role focuses on building and managing relationships with public sector clients, driving new business, and ensuring long-term success and retention of key accounts.
As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for the full customer lifecycle-including new sales, renewals, upselling, and satisfaction initiatives. You'll be measured on your ability to hit sales goals, drive growth, and maintain strong client relationships across your assigned territory.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities with state and local government accounts
- Manage renewals, up-sell opportunities, and long-term client relationships
- Provide account analysis and consultative recommendations
- Resolve client concerns quickly and professionally
- Accurately track sales activities, pipeline, and performance metrics
- Deliver engaging presentations and proposals
- Leverage CRM and sales tools to manage activity and reporting
- Continuously improve through training on products, services, and industry trends
REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelor's Degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required
- 2-4 years of experience selling to government (State and Local) clients - Required
- Experience with wireless, inside sales, or technical sales - Preferred
- Proven ability to meet / exceed quota and manage full sales cycles
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and CRM systems
COMPENSATION :
- Base Salary : $78,060 - $140,760 USD
- Total Target Compensation (Base + Incentives) : $130,100 - $234,600 USD
- Monthly or quarterly performance incentives available for eligible sales team members
