Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Fire Account Executive to cultivate new relationships and secure sales opportunities in fire alarm and life safety solutions. You will join a dynamic sales team and grow with the company while delivering world-class service to customers and communities.

You will build pipelines, present proposals, and close deals with decision makers across healthcare, financial, data centers, government and education sectors, leveraging collaboration with engineers and project

• Proven history of success selling Fire Alarm & Life Safety solutions.
• Strong affinity for problem solving.

• Ability to build customer confidence and cultivate business relationships.
• Proactively source sales & service opportunities.
• Ability to adapt to business changes with the ability to influence others.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Account Development: selling fire alarm and life safety systems/services to new customers; identify and develop opportunities to drive growth and establish relationships.
• Develop Pipeline: work with decision makers to assess need, gain agreement on a business case, and set a timeline; target 3:1 pipeline.
• Proposal Construction: lead sales pursuit team to construct winning proposals; include quote and business case.
• Presenting & Closing: present proposals to decision makers and navigate objections to reach go/no-go decisions.
• Market Focus: identify and develop pipeline in assigned markets incl. healthcare, financial, data centers, government, education.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts: work with designers/estimators, sales engineers, PMs, and partners to create winning proposals.

• Account Development: Responsible for selling fire alarm and life safety systems/services to new customers, identifying and developing opportunities to drive growth and establish strong client relationships.
• Develop Pipeline: Work with real decision makers to assess need, gain agreement on a business case, why we are uniquely qualified, and a decision time frame. Expected results: Pipeline is 3:1 over target.
• Proposal Construction: Leading the sales pursuit team to construct winning proposals. Expected Results: Proposals include the quote, business case and why we are uniquely qualified.
• Presenting & Closing: Present proposals to the decision makers while managing objections related to timing, price, and competition. Expected Results: Final negotiations lead to go or no-go decisions timely.
• Market Focus: Identify and develop pipeline specific to assigned market(s). Markets include global accounts, utilities, financial/banking, healthcare, data centers, federal, state, and local governments, K-12 & higher education. Expected results: Pipeline reflects opportunities in assigned market(s).
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts: Collaborate with designers/estimators, sales engineers, subject matter experts, program/project managers, and partners as needed to create and deliver winning proposals. Expected results: Business case and technical solution result in winning proposals.

Requirements

• Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience
• Minimum Experience: 1-3 years of fire solutions sales
