Job summary

Cox Media Group in Dayton is seeking an Account Executive to generate revenue by developing new accounts and expanding advertising from current clients. You will advise clients on digital and TV solutions, build marketing plans, and manage budgets to meet objectives.

You will work with local sales managers, use CRM tools for reporting, deliver presentations, maintain strong client relationships, and participate in CMG's training program to grow a lucrative career in media sales.

Qualifications

• Experience in digital and TV sales in local media.
• Excellent presentation, verbal and written skills.
• Minimum 2 years of new business development and prospecting experience.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for generating revenue through the development of new accounts
• Responsible for generating revenue by growing existing advertising revenue from current clients.
• Able to develop effective marketing plans to meet clients’ needs and objectives.
• Able to obtain budgets and meet deadlines.
• Responsible for ensuring superior client relations.
• Superior management of sales through the entire sales cycle.
• Use of CRM sales tool for reporting and prospecting
• Prepare and present both written and oral presentations.
• Collection of accounts receivable, as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven track record of digital and TV sales success in local media setting
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Minimum of 2 years of new business development and prospecting experience required
• Excellent presentation, verbal and written skills
• Hard-working, integrity, relationship-builder with a winning attitude
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Work with brand teams, ad operations and finance to provide client satisfaction
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM tools
• Valid driver's license with cleandriving record required
• Relationship building skills are key and candidate must have a winning, positive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• BA/BS degree with a minimum of three years of media sales, account management or buying experience preferred
