Job Summary
We are looking for an Account Executive to join our Commercial Lines team on a hybrid work schedule. The Account Executive will provide professional account management and brokerage services, primarily responsible for account retention and technical expertise for assigned clients.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary consultant for the client, maintaining strong professional relationships with C-level and other decision makers.
- Provide detailed knowledge of clients’ business and industry, articulating exposures, insurance coverages, and risk management solutions.
- Establish relationships with carrier marketing, underwriting, and risk control staff, and coordinate delivery of HUB services throughout the policy cycle.
- Work cooperatively with Producers (Client Executives/Sales) to manage client relationships and account retention; if no Producer assigned, assume full relationship management.
- Coordinate with Associate Account Executives to deliver services and mentor/teach AAE staff; provide feedback to the Head of P&C on AAE performance.
- Ensure all client service needs are promptly delivered, maintain quality and timeliness of deliverables.
- Conduct annual reviews, recommending coverage and loss control strategies to reduce cost of risk.
- Identify cross‑sell and up‑sell opportunities for HUB products and services.
- Assume responsibility for maintaining current receivable status and pursue collection of receivables over 30 days past‑due, reporting to accounting.
- Utilize HUB resources and tools, comply with HUB systems, procedures, and state/federal regulations, and maintain professional service standards.
- Communicate effectively in oral and written formats, including group presentations.
- Actively participate with professional and civic associations on behalf of HUB.
- Support professional development opportunities and pursue new business opportunities.
Qualifications
- BA or BS degree preferred. Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 7 years of experience servicing large accounts.
- Experience influencing C-level executives.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- High energy, detail-oriented self-starter.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills.
- Ability to handle competing demands and projects.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and delegate responsibilities.
- Willingness to travel (most local in the tri-state area). Travel required is negligible.
