Job summary

Cognite is hiring an Account Executive for the Chemical Manufacturing vertical in the Houston area. You will win new business by selling Cognite Data Fusion to manufacturing customers, guiding them through value-based conversations and ROI justifications.

Expect to manage complex cycles, build pipeline, and coordinate with pre-sales and product teams. This role requires field travel and strong communication skills to drive bookings and customer success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years software sales experience into the Chemical Manufacturing vertical is required.
• Ability to articulate manufacturing value chains and Industry 4.0 digitalization opportunities.
• Proven track record meeting software/SaaS bookings goals with new customers in direct sales.
• Experience with Enterprise software/SaaS and ROI business case development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory strategy to drive bookings growth and win new customers.
• Generate pipeline through active prospecting and your network; provide commercial insights.
• Lead complex sales cycles and coordinate pre-sales and other teams to win deals.
• Forecast monthly and quarterly results and provide input to product and marketing.
