The Account Executive Microsoft Application, Cloud & Infrastructure Managed Services at Columbus will be responsible for assisting with the growth of our Enterprise ERP market by participating in all phases of the sales life cycle. In this mission critical position, you will promote and expand the Evolve (Support) Service Catalog of Microsoft Application Managed Services and Cloud and Infrastructure Managed Services. We are looking for a hunter who can help: Expand our footprint with existing customers. Drive transitions from project delivery to post go-live Evolve, as well as adding new customers to our Managed Services Portfolio. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual, who can work under dynamic conditions and can foster productive relationships with a diverse customer and partner group to grow our accounts and business.

Note: This is a remote opportunity but must be based in the United States. #LI-Remote.

Position ? Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for selling the Columbus Managed Services portfolio of services within a list of named accounts as well as increasing the list of new net accounts.
  • Understand customer’s businesses and identify influencers and decision makers within a customer organization. Focus on identifying customers’ business challenges and developing strong value propositions to help customers meet their business objectives through the sale of Columbus Services.
  • Match the Managed Services solution to the customer’s vision, business needs, challenges, and requirements.
  • Drive increased monthly recurring revenue (MRR).
  • Self-driven to work proactively and independently; prospecting, making cold calls and following-up to generate net-new leads.
  • Follow up on leads and opportunities generated from networking, social media platforms, marketing campaigns and other activities as assigned.
  • Meet or exceed sales activity metrics; outbound calling into targeted companies, identifying key decision makers and influencers.
  • Own end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
  • Maintain detailed and daily accurate sales records and customer reporting in CRM.
  • Learn and master company software & services offerings.
  • Assist with / own the creation of SOWs and RFPs to customers and prospects.
  • Proactively partner with other team members in handling all sales support functions.
  • Develop strategic accounts and opportunity plans.
  • Participate in sales training, product training, webinar, company events, marketing events and tradeshow or other as assigned.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years of sales experience selling in a Software Managed Services and/or Cloud and Infrastructure environment to enterprise accounts within strategic technology business applications and complex solutions.
  • 2+ years of experience in selling strategic technology business applications and complex solutions.
  • Proven knowledge of ERP systems and Infrastructure e.g. Cloud, Wi-Fi, Networking, Unified Communications and Cybersecurity.
  • Knowledge of AI solutions, Agents and related tools is preferred.
  • Must be able to identify key stakeholders across a complex organization and manage and define the buying criteria. (which may include external consultants and other groups).
  • Experience building relationships and trust over the phone and through email with professionals at all levels.
  • Proven examples of meeting a sales quota.
  • Experience with sales forecasting and projections.
  • Understanding lead data and CRM systems.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and contract negotiation process is preferred.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, including experience with presenting to C-Level executives. Understanding of ITIL processes and roles
  • Successful background selling in a highly competitive environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including phone, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Ability to negotiate / influence.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment and to work with a team.
  • Ability to travel 30% or more.
  • Experience selling Microsoft Dynamics ERP Support Services & related managed services.
