Job summary

York Revolution is seeking a Senior Business Development Specialist to connect with local businesses and groups, learning their needs and presenting Revolution offerings that align with their goals.

You will present group experiences, season memberships, advertising opportunities, and club memberships, while mentoring junior teammates and driving revenue growth for the organization.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of sales experience; preferably in sports ticketing or corporate sales.
• Strong communication, organization, and drive to deliver results.
• Ability to build meaningful connections and close deals with diverse partners.

Responsibilities

• Meet with local business and group leaders to learn their needs and make recommendations.

If you answered yes, then we want you on our team! Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to connect with local businesses, groups, and organizations to show them the many ways that York’s professional, hometown baseball team can benefit their organization.

In this role, you will meet with local business and group leaders to learn about their organization and make creative recommendations, pairing Revolution offerings with their needs. You will have access to a full menu of products to offer - from group experiences and season memberships to advertising opportunities and club memberships. As a Senior member of the sales team, you will serve as a positive role model for entry level team members.

The team on the field saw a tremendous bounce back from 2022 with a new manager leading the team to its second-best record in team history. The Revs also saw a 24% increase in attendance. The season also saw one of our most successful fundraising efforts with over $1,000,000 donated to local non-profit organizations and youth sports groups.

The team will build on this success for 2024 with plans for another 24% attendance increase and the introduction of a brand new state-of-the-art videoboard system – which you will have the opportunity to sell! The team is one of the few teams in the league that offers membership in an all-inclusive, upscale club known as the 1741 Club. We also operate a year-round party and events business, operate the local sports radio station, and produce a series of community events.

Revolution sales professionals receive a base salary plus bonuses and unlimited commission on all sales.

Who are you?

As the Senior Business Development Specialist, you must have at least 2 years of sales experience, preferably in sports ticketing or corporate sales. You are driven and motivated by the thrill of seeing a plan come to fruition and delivering success to your clients. You are very organized and not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get the job done. Key factors for success include the ability to make meaningful connections, think outside the box, excellent communication skills, and a fearless approach to identifying and connecting with prospective partners.
