Job summary

Gallagher is seeking an Account Executive to support clients across a broad range of commercial risks, with a focus on transport and related sectors. The role offers flexibility with home-based work and occasional client travel, plus involvement with a global leader in insurance, risk management and consulting.

You will renew and grow client portfolios, maintain broker relationships, and ensure excellent service delivery while collaborating with our specialist team.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in general insurance products and classes of insurance.
• Knowledge of the London Market, Lloyd’s, and the wider industry.
• Desirable: Chartered Insurance Qualifications (Cert CII, Dip CII or ACII).
• Educated to GCSE/A‑Level standard with commercial insurance knowledge.
• Detail oriented with strong administrative skills and accuracy.

• Manage renewal processes for clients and secure best terms.
• Grow your book of business by identifying new opportunities.
• Build relationships with brokers to access competitive terms.
• Visit clients as needed to showcase service and support.

Join our specialist team as an Account Executive, supporting clients across a wide variety of commercial risks, including the more specialist coach, bus and haulage sectors. As part of a global leader in insurance, risk management and consulting, you'll work with established mid‑market clients while developing your expertise within a highly respected and collaborative team. This is a broad commercial insurance role, managing and developing client relationships across a range of risks. While the portfolio includes motor insurance and transport-related accounts, we’re keen to hear from experienced commercial Account Executives from any sector background who are looking to specialise or broaden their expertise. You’ll join a well‑established team with a strong reputation in the transport market, supported by long‑standing client relationships, quality new business opportunities and a dedicated in‑house claims function. The role offers the autonomy to grow your portfolio while being backed by experienced colleagues and market specialists. We’re flexible on location and open to home‑based candidates. You’ll attend strategic team meetings approximately 1‑2 times per month, typically in London/West Malling, with the remainder of your time worked remotely and traveling to clients.

• Holding or working towards one of the Chartered Insurance Institute Qualifications, Cert CII, Dip CII or ACII would be an advantage.
• Educated to GCSE/A-Level standard or equivalent, with an intermediate knowledge of the commercial insurance industry.
• You’re detail‑oriented, with excellent administrative skills and a focus on accuracy.
• You’re passionate about delivering outstanding client service and building lasting relationships.
• You’re proactive and driven, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• You’re eligible to work in the UK and are open to travel as required.
