Job summary

The Pennant Group, Inc. seeks an Account Executive in Union City, TN to lead the sales strategy, develop accounts, and educate the medical community on agency services while operating within budget.

You will work with leadership to drive growth, manage CRM and related administrative tasks, and maintain strong relationships with referral sources and patients in a home health setting. This role requires travel and a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least two (2) years of demonstrated success in home health and/or hospice sales.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly personal production goals and admit budgets for assigned locations.
  • Execute weekly, monthly, and quarterly strategies to increase market share through key account development.
  • Plan activity to maximize territory coverage of existing and prospective accounts.
  • Conduct effective sales calls, identify needs, communicate features/benefits, and close.
  • Collaborate with Executive Director and Clinical Director to grow the referral network and patient base.
  • Manage sales administration duties including CRM, expense entry, payroll timesheets, and reporting.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Account Executive is responsible for executing the sales strategy to increase agency market share through account development and educating the medical community on services provided by the agency while operating within set budget.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:


  • Achievement of monthly Personal Production Goals and MC admit budgets for assigned locations.

  • Successfully executes a weekly, monthly, and quarterly strategy to increase market share through key account development including prospecting/diversification and call frequency/routing.

  • Plans activity to maximize territory coverage of both existing and prospective accounts.

  • Responsible for executing effective sales calls that identify and meet the needs of the referral community and clearly communicate the features and benefits of the Company. These include pre and post call planning, establishing rapport, effective questioning skills, proposing solutions, handling objections and closing.

  • Works closely with the Executive Director and Clinical Director to drive a vision of growth by focusing every team member on the needs and expectations of the referral community and patients.

  • Responsible for all sales administration duties including but not limited to CRM, expense entry compliance, BOA with associated Policies and Procedures, payroll time sheets, weekly meetings with strategic updates, PTO requests, paperwork delivery/pick-up as needed, and timely cell phone/email correspondence.

  • Responsible for being a good steward of the Company’s financial resources by projecting a return on monies spent and managing a Sales & Marketing expense budget.

  • Knows the features and benefits of the services provided the agency.

  • Able to articulate competitive advantages, specialty programs, and Medicare guidelines.

  • Educates the medical community about the services of our organization through effective sales calls and in-services with the appropriate tools and literature.

  • Other appropriate tasks and special projects as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • At least two (2) years of demonstrated success in home health and/or hospice sales.


PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:


  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills required.

  • Must have strong computer skills to utilize Microsoft Outlook and CRM systems.

  • Self-motivated; able to work independently with minimal oversight.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None.

Significant portion (>50%) of daily assignments may require travel to client/resident/patient locations or other work sites, via car or public transportation. Work schedule may occasionally require evening, night, holiday, or weekend assignments. Ability to effectively work from a remote/home office.
