Role Overview
As a Business Development Executive (BDE)/Account Executive – Tax Advisory & Financial Services, you will play a key role in driving Leyton’s growth in the U.S. market by identifying and engaging prospective clients for our State and Local Tax (SALT) and advisory services.
You will be responsible for the full sales cycle, from prospecting and building pipeline to engaging senior decision-makers and closing complex advisory and consulting engagements.
Working closely with consultants, subject matter experts, and leadership teams, you will position Leyton’s SALT and tax advisory solutions to CFOs, Controllers, Tax Directors, and senior finance stakeholders.
This is a high-impact, hunter-oriented role ideal for individuals with strong consultative sales experience and a passion for financial services, tax advisory, or complex B2B solution selling.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within SALT and tax advisory markets
- Conduct strategic outbound prospecting (cold calling, email, LinkedIn, networking)
- Build and manage a high-quality pipeline across target industries, with a focus on manufacturing, industrials, and enterprise organizations
- Engage senior decision-makers (CFOs, Tax Directors, Controllers, VP Finance) to understand business needs
- Present Leyton’s SALT and incentive solutions in a consultative, value-driven manner
- Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach through contract closure and onboarding
- Collaborate with internal consultants and delivery teams to shape tailored client solutions
- Leverage CRM tools (Salesforce) to manage pipeline, forecasting, and activity tracking
- Contribute to go-to-market strategy and targeted outreach campaigns
Performance & Targets
- Meet and exceed monthly and annual revenue KPIs
- Consistently build and progress a strong qualified pipeline
- Support continuous improvement of sales effectiveness and outreach strategy
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- 3–5+ years of enterprise or mid-market B2B sales experience (closing role preferred)
- Strong background in consultative, solution-based selling
- Proven experience selling tax credits, SALT solutions, or professional services is a strong asset
- Experience engaging with or selling to CFOs, finance leaders, or enterprise-level stakeholders

- Strong hunter mindset with the ability to build and develop pipeline independently
- Confident in cold outreach, objection handling, and executive-level communication
- Ability to manage complex, consultative, and multi-stakeholder sales cycles
- High level of discipline, resilience, and results orientation
- Strong interpersonal skills with a relationship-driven approach
Nice to Have
- Experience in consulting, financial services, or SaaS enterprise sales
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
- Background in manufacturing, industrials, or complex B2B environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Sales or business certifications (e.g., from recognized business schools) are an advantage
