Job summary

WJW-TV in Cleveland, a Nexstar Media Group, Inc. station, is seeking an Account Executive to strengthen our top sales team. The ideal candidate will sell television and digital advertising, build strong client and agency relationships, and help achieve station revenue goals.

You will develop sales strategies, prepare custom presentations, and coordinate with a sales assistant for support. This on-site role rewards strong presentation skills, organization, and a drive to grow local business.

Qualifications

• College degree and sales experience in television or related industry.
• Well organized with excellent oral and written presentation skills.
• Proficient computer skills and valid driver's license with vehicle access.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenues by meeting AE and Manager targets and maximize station revenue from TV and digital products.
• Develop relationships with advertising agencies and local clients to grow business.
• Sell advertising on television and digital platforms.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic to help clients grow.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue goals.
• Identify client needs and prepare custom sales presentations with solutions.
• Indirectly supervise a sales assistant for support in duties.

Overview

WJW-TV, Cleveland’s market leader and one of the top FOX affiliates in the country has an immediate opening for an Account Executive to enhance our strong sales team!

Responsibilities

• Responsible for generating revenues as set by AE and their Manager to meet overall station budget. Maximize station revenue through sale of commercial television and digital products.
• Develop strong relationships with both advertising agencies and local clients in an effort to grow their business by planning and organizing a sales strategy to meet goals, as well as monitor and track sales plan.
• Sell advertising on our television and digital platforms.
• Demonstrate a great attitude and strong work ethic to help our clients grow.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue goals.
• Identify the needs of local businesses and prepare custom sales presentations with solutions to address those needs.
• Indirectly supervise a sales assistant for support in order completion, sales package presentation, and other administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Well organized, excellent oral and written presentation skills.
• Ability to develop and enhance strong client and agency relationships.
• College degree and sales experience in Television or related industry.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license with access to vehicle.

Compensation

$95-100,000 based on experience.
