LOCATION:Charlotte, NC (Remote)

STATUS: Full-Time

OVERVIEW

The Retail Sales Representative is responsible for in-store execution of brands that Bay Food Brokerage represents in Charlotte, NC, and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will live in Charlotte. The retailers predominantly worked with will be Publix and Harris Teeter, but may include other supermarket stores. This is a full-time position, 5 days a week, with moderate travel and nights out of town mandatory.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The ideal candidate will enjoy collaborating with people and have a strong sales background. Responsibilities include merchandising products at each store, engaging with department managers, and selling approved items. Knowledge of supermarket functions is an asset, as well as experience selling to retail stores. Candidates must be organized, able to work independently, have a reliable car, and possess basic computer skills. This position involves traveling between multiple stores per day, Monday – Friday, and working with products in all departments. Candidates should be able to lift up to 15 lbs. and be physically fit to walk throughout the day. BENEFITS

This is a salary position that includes an auto allowance, cell phone allowance, fuel credit card, bonus and spiff opportunities, 401K, health insurance, life insurance, and Profit Share. All major holidays are paid time off, along with a liberal PTO program. There will be a 90-Day Review and annual performance and salary reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Office administration experience required
  • Product shipping and order management experience
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to manage difficult conversations professionally
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, including formulas
  • Critical thinking skills, ability to offer proactive solutions
  • Experience with web-based software programs/portals
  • Ability to work in our Tampa office near Tampa International Airport, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
