Job summary

Shamrock Foods Company in Colorado is seeking an Account Executive to maximize sales growth by representing our products and services to restaurants, resorts, hotels and other institutions through face‑to‑face interactions. Responsibilities include prospecting new customers, expanding the territory, maintaining and growing the existing base, analyzing food costs, sharing market trends, and delivering product demonstrations.

Strong MS Office skills and comfort with data are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree a plus.
• 2+ years’ experience in culinary, restaurant operations, foodservice, or related fields preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in problem solving.
• Comfort using technology and analyzing customer data.
• Knowledgeable on industry trends and market dynamics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Prospect new customers and build a territory to grow the customer base.
• Maintain current customer base and grow the share of the customer’s business.
• Impact customer success through food cost analysis to improve profitability.
• Share market intelligence and industry trends with customers.
• Conduct product demonstrations and comparisons on-site at customers.
• Facilitate demonstrations of capabilities to support customer needs.
• Share new product innovations using Shamrock resources.
• Build multi-level relationships in the businesses served.
• Keep accounts current and optimize sales, service, and delivery while collecting past-due balances.
• Leverage technology to improve customer efficiency and drive experience enhancements.
• Participate in ongoing training to develop skills.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Account Executive is responsible for maximizing sales growth profitably. To accomplish this, they are responsible for regularly representing products and services for Shamrock Foods Company on a commission base to restaurants, resorts, hotels, and other institutional establishments through face-to-face interactions.

• Prospect new customers and build a territory to grow the customer base
• Maintain current customer base and grow the share of the customer’s business
• Impact customer success through:
• Supporting food cost analysis to ensure waste reduction and improve customer profitability
• Consuming and sharing market intelligence and industry trends
• Conducting product demonstration and comparisons by taking sample product to customer‘s restaurant or facility
• Facilitating demonstrations of capabilities we have to support the customer
• Share new product innovation through utilization of Shamrock resources
• Build multi-level relationships in the businesses you serve
• Keep accounts current; optimizing sales, service, and delivery and collecting past-due balances from customers
• Leverage technology for improved customer efficiency and to drive customer experience enhancements
• Participate in on-going training to continuously develop skills
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends and holidays.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds

Starting compensation of $40,000-$100,000 per year based on achievement of performance goals, eventually transitioning to commission-basis.
