Shout Merchandise is actively seeking a dynamic, high-performance Account Director to join our team! Experience in the promotional products industry or event management is REQUIRED.
You will be responsible for building a client book of business and proactively reaching out to ensure client satisfaction/retention while continuously prospecting and closing new business.
We are looking for a high character, self-starter who can tailor branded merchandise and apparel-based marketing programs to meet customer needs. You should have an innovative, solutions-oriented approach with an expectation for success. The ideal candidate has a history of bringing on new business and loves the challenges that come with outbound prospecting in a competitive market.
Responsibilities for Account Director
· Prospect, contact and close potential clients
· Unearth new sales opportunities through networking and turn them into long term clients
· Present products to prospective clients including preparing customized presentations, sourcing products, quotes and closing deals
· Provide professional after-sales support to enhance the customers’ dedication
· Remain in frequent contact with the clients to understand their needs for ongoing business
· Respond to complaints and resolve issues aiming to customer contentment and the preservation of the company’s reputation
· Work independently to establish and grow your client book
Qualifications for Account Director
· Proven experience with sales and managing your own book of business in the promotional products industry is a MUST.
· 2+ years of Sales/Account Executive, Business Development or Account Co-Ordinator experience within the promotional products/branded merchandise industry.
· Lead generation / opportunity seeker. Utilize all available resources to prospect for new business and turn them into happy long-term customers.
· Self-starter attitude with excellent organization and time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously without compromising quality or accuracy.
· Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build rapport and relationships with both customers and suppliers.
· Proven track record of increasing sales and business opportunities through client development.
· Continually monitor products trends both within and outside of the industry.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively
· Customer-centric, highly creative and service obsessed.
· Enthusiastic and passionate
· Preferred proficiency in Google Applications, Microsoft Word, Excel, CRM and ASI’s ESP platform
