Job summary

Mission North, a strategic communications agency, seeks a Director to lead day-to-day client programs and growth within Enterprise Technology Group accounts. You will own end-to-end PR campaigns, mentor a high-performing team, and translate complex tech concepts into clear, compelling narratives that resonate across traditional and new media.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7–10 years of communications or PR agency experience, preferably with technology companies or related industries.
  • Experience developing, directing and executing strategic communications programs that blend PR, content marketing, social media and data.
  • Experience helping disruptive technology companies develop compelling messaging, storylines and thought leadership platforms.
  • Established relationships with top-tier trade media and bloggers, vertical market media and national/local business media.
  • Experience running integrated PR programs, including paid content.
  • Experience working with household names and emerging brands in B2B technology including data infrastructure and cloud, AI, cybersecurity, SaaS and other modern tech stacks.

  • Contribute to new business by ideating narratives and strategies with senior leadership, guiding junior team members.

  • Draft strategic deliverables, including campaign plans, media pitches, speaking and award submissions.
  • Engage with traditional and non-traditional media to drive awareness and secure coverage for clients.
  • Seek out creative ways to connect the dots between news cycles and client opportunities.
  • Serve as a key contributor in new business, including ideating and conceptualizing narratives, strategies and storylines, in partnership with senior leaders, and overseeing junior team members on building out content.
  • Cultivate the agency’s sphere of influence with agency peers, VCs, etc.
  • Manage 1-2 direct reports.

_ Compensation _

Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills and prior relevant experience.

Pay Range:Expected Salary range depending on experience: $130,000-$160,000, not including year end profit sharing bonus.
