5W Public Relations LLC is seeking an experienced Account Director to lead our Corporate practice. The role demands senior agency know-how across financial services, technology and ESG, with sharp media instincts and strong client leadership.

You’ll act as the primary client contact, oversee strategic programs, and manage multiple accounts with a hands-on, collaborative approach in a hybrid work environment.

• B.A in Public Relations or related field.
• At least 6 years of PR agency experience with corporate clients.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and motivation skills.
• Proven client relations, management and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact to clients, fostering client–agency relationships to build trust and become a valuable resource.
• Overseeing and implementing strategic communications programming.
• Executive creative campaigns and brand partnerships.
• Manage and delegate responsibilities of daily workflow of multiple accounts.
• Communicate account status to agency management regularly.
• Demonstrate proficiency in writing and editing materials, presentations, and media strategies.
• Provide strategic guidance to clients and team members; anticipate needs.
• Troubleshoot media, team, or strategy problems; involve senior management when appropriate.
• Motivate team members by providing timely feedback.
• Develop strong communication and presentation skills to articulate ideas to clients and colleagues.
• Lead monthly conference calls and meetings with clients.
• Guide team on pitching, workflow, and account issues.
• Support development of materials for new business opportunities.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Act as primary contact to clients, continually fostering client-agency relationship to build trust and become a valuable resource and counselor to clients.
• Overseeing and implementing strategic communications programming
• Executive creative campaigns and brand partnerships
• Manage and delegate responsibilities of daily workflow of multiple accounts.
• Communicate account status to agency management regularly.
• Demonstrate proficiency in writing and editing materials particularly presentations, program plans and media strategies.
• Provide strategic guidance to clients and team members on an ongoing basis; anticipate and address clients’ needs.
• Troubleshoot media, team, or strategy problems as they arise; seek senior management input when appropriate.
• Motivate team members by promptly reviewing work and providing constructive feedback.
• Strive to develop the best communication and presentation skills possible to effectively articulate ideas to clients, colleagues and others.
• Conduct and lead monthly conference calls and meetings with clients
• Provide guidance and leadership to team members on effective pitching, team issues, account workflow and general account issues.
• Participate in the development of materials for new business opportunities including timelines, proposals, business decks and case studies; assist in generating new business leads.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop strategic/creative thinking for clients.
• Misc. research, duties and projects as required.

• S/B.A in Public Relations or related field
• At least 6 years of PR agency experience, specifically working with corporate clients
