Job Overview

Octagon is seeking a dynamic leader with a passion for soccer to support the development and execution of our clients’ 2026 FIFA World Cup partnership. This role involves managing client relationships, project management, and team development, with a focus on the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Location & Work Arrangement

Our headquarters is in Stamford, CT, but this position offers flexible working arrangements, including hybrid (2-3 days in office) in Stamford, NY, Charlotte, Chicago, or Atlanta, or remote for qualified candidates with East Coast hours.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the development and execution of the 2026 FIFA World Cup partnership across North America.
  2. Collaborate with senior leadership on go-to-market strategies.
  3. Manage project execution across multiple workstreams and teams.
  4. Develop strategic sponsorship recommendations aligned with fan passions and brand goals.
  5. Manage relationships with sponsorship partners, vendors, and internal teams.
  6. Oversee sponsorship assets, integrations, and budget management.
  7. Lead and support the career development of direct reports.
  8. Travel as needed for client meetings, events, and work on weekends.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in the soccer industry, with a focus on integrated marketing campaigns and activations.
  • Strong understanding of the global soccer landscape, ideally with FIFA experience.
  • Expertise in developing and executing major soccer marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, with moderate travel (20-45%).
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: $80,000 – $100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
