Job summary

PPG is seeking an Account Development Manager based in New Orleans, LA. You will be responsible for driving sales growth through assigned stores, enhancing customer relationships, and developing new accounts in commercial and industrial segments.

Job description

As an Account Development Manager, you will grow new sales through assigned Pittsburgh Paints Company stores growing both existing business year-over-year and developing new accounts within the commercial, industrial, and new home construction segments.

You will report to the Regional Manager and work onsite, based in the New Orleans, LA market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure outstanding customer service is provided to existing customer accounts by keeping up to date with current promotions, new products, and with current customer service practices to find opportunities for growth.
  • Develop account planning strategies, sales opportunities, accounts with growth potential, and understand existing business and the segments they serve.
  • Use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to run accounts, maintain call logs and contact info, run reports, etc.
  • Collaborate with store managers and employees to ensure customers' needs are met or exceeded.
  • Facilitate and provide accurate customer quotes to achieve margin targets in alignment with pricing strategies.
Qualifications
  • Seeking a results-driven sales representative with experience growing underpenetrated territories, prospecting, and closing new business, and representing the company with credibility, professionalism, and integrity.
  • Preferred industry experience, with a successful history of Commercial Account management/sales.
  • High school diploma required with 3+ years of previous sales experience with stellar customer service acuity, Higher-level education degree in a business-related field.
  • CRM software experience preferred, while previous coatings experience is highly sought after.
  • Daily travel within your assigned territory; must possess a valid driver's license.
