Job summary

Davenport Community School District is seeking a dedicated Para Educator to support students with diverse needs in a Minnesota school. Under supervision, you will deliver social skills instruction, assist with behavior plans, and help implement IEP goals across classroom, cafeteria, and field-trip settings.

You will work closely with teachers, specialists, and administrators, attending trainings and collaborating to ensure each student’s progress.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with students with disabilities including Autism and Spectrum Disorder.
• Willingness to attend trainings and follow school directives.
• Strong interpersonal skills and patience.

Responsibilities

• Provide research-based social skills instruction under supervision of certified teacher.
• Assist with behavior interventions and IEP goals.
• Support students in both special and general education settings.
• Accompany students to and from the bus and supervise in classrooms, lunchrooms, and on trips.
• Attend field trips and contribute to progress monitoring as directed.
