Job summary

Westminster University in Salt Lake City seeks a skilled Accompanist to provide piano accompaniment for weekly vocal lessons, lessons and juries, and opera theatre rehearsals, collaborating with the Staff Accompanist to support the school’s artistic programs.

The ideal candidate will have technical and musical mastery of the piano, knowledge of relevant literature, and the ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends. A Master of Music in piano performance or collaborative piano is preferred.

Position Summary:

This professional position plays a vital role in enriching the musical experience at the Florence J. Gillmor School of Music by providing expert musical accompaniment for rehearsals, performances, and various special events. The incumbent will collaborate closely with the full-time Staff Accompanistto support and enhance the artistic vision of our talented musicians and performers. This position requires a keen understanding of diverse musical styles and the ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of the school’s programs.
