Coverys is seeking an Underwriter II to evaluate new and renewal risks, determine coverage, pricing, and terms within the assigned territory, and work within delegated authority to generate a profitable portfolio.

The role requires strong analytical skills, ability to read and interpret a variety of business materials, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Travel up to 20% is expected, with opportunities to contribute to marketing and cross-functional projects.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree preferred; or four to seven years related experience.
• Willingness to complete CPCU or RPLU designation is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials and regulatory documents.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs.
• Comfortable and effective in presenting information to groups.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the year.

• Evaluate new and renewal risks to ensure proper risk selection, pricing and terms for policies within assigned territory.
• Follow underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures to maintain consistency and adhere to regulations.
• Interact with customers, agents, and brokers to gather information and clarify underwriting requirements; negotiate policy terms.
• Utilize analytical tools to evaluate exposure and root causes of claims.
• Collaborate with other underwriters and team members to gain a comprehensive understanding of exposure and coverage options.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of underwriting decisions and communications.
• Manage profitability, risk characteristics, submission flow, agent/broker relationships and customer service for assigned territory.
• Assist in marketing activities.
• May participate in or lead projects.
