Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred.
• Willingness to complete CPCU or RPLU designation is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business information and regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate submissions to determine acceptability of risks per guidelines and standards.
• Adhere to underwriting guidelines and authority.
• Interact with customers, agents, and brokers to gather information and clarify requirements.
• Utilize analytical tools to evaluate exposure and understand drivers of claims.
• Collaborate with underwriters and team members to understand exposure and provide coverage.
• Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions and communications.
• Manage profitability, submission flow, and relationships in assigned territory.
• Assist in marketing activities.
• May participate in or lead projects.
