Purpose & Scope:

Responsible for timely and accurate accessioning of clinical specimens using automation lines, interface software, and the HIS system. Duties include specimen registration, answering phones, printing reports, limited billing or account crediting, and accurately processing physician orders, including those received by phone.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience:

One year of experience in healthcare is preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

None.
