Job summary

Clovernook Prints, a subsidiary of Clovernook Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, is seeking a motivated team member to support digital printing operations. You will operate printers and cutters, package finished products, and ensure orders are ready for shipping with accuracy.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain digital printers to produce high-quality printed materials.
  • Monitor printing processes and troubleshoot issues.
  • Operate cutter and creasing machines; finish materials.
  • Pack and prepare orders for shipping; label and coordinate with shipping.
  • Keep records of shipped orders and update the system.
  • Perform quality control and report defects.
  • Assist in production-related tasks and support team goals.
  • Maintain clean, safe work area and comply with safety procedures.

Description

Clovernook Prints (a subsidiary of Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired) is a leading digital printing company committed to delivering high-quality accessible printed materials to our clients. Additionally, our mission is to provide competitive job opportunities for those with vision loss.

We are looking for a candidate who is proficient with the Microsoft Office environment (Word and Outlook with occasional Excel usage) and is a motivated learner.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Digital Printing Operation
    • Operate and maintain digital printers to produce high-quality printed materials.
    • Monitor printing processes to ensure optimal output and troubleshoot any technical issues.
  2. Cutter and Creasing Machine Operation
    • Utilize cutting and creasing machines to precisely finish printed materials according to specifications.
    • Keep individual orders organized and separated.
  3. Manual Packaging
    • Assemble and package printed materials manually, following specific guidelines and quality standards.
    • Ensure accurate counting and careful handling of delicate items during packaging.
  4. Shipping Preparation
    • Prepare items for shipment, including labeling, packing, and coordinating with the shipping department.
    • Maintain accurate records of shipped orders and update the system accordingly.
  5. Quality Control
    • Ensure that products are visually inspected to ensure quality and accuracy of printed materials.
    • Report any defects or issues to the supervisor for resolution.
  6. General Duties
    • Assist in various production-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
    • Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and deadlines.
    • Keep immediate work area clean and free of debris.
    • Follow all safety procedures and promote a safe work environment.
    • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Dexterity, mobility, endurance, and hand-body coordination skills to complete assigned tasks and meet production requirements. Ability to lift 50 pounds is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office environment.
  • Quality minded with a great work ethic.
  • Digital printer experience min 2 years preferred.
  • Production environment min 2 years.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and equipment.
  • Post‑offer, pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
