Central New Mexico Community College seeks an Accessibility Support Technician to administer accommodations and provide instructional support for students with disabilities. The role ensures access to content and assists faculty with accessibility needs in courses.

The successful candidate will edit and format notes, read materials aloud when needed, and support testing accommodations on campus and remotely, contributing to inclusive learning across the College.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with disabilities and providing accessible instructional materials.
• Familiarity with accommodations processes and DRC policies.

Responsabilités

• Provides access to course content through notes, recordings, and alternate formats as designated by the student.
• Edits and formats class notes to improve accessibility and delivers notes per DRC policy.
• Provides visual assistance by reading materials and exams for students needing audio access.
• Transcribes notes or dictations to overcome student barriers.
• Operates assistive technology to address specific barriers in learning.
• Supports students with disabilities in accessing college services as directed by the DRC.
• Assists with testing accommodations on campus and virtually.
• Supports accessibility-related projects college-wide.
• Adheres to safety regulations and uses PPE when required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
