Job summary

EBSCO Information Services is seeking a Digital Accessibility Specialist to ensure EBSCOhost and related products meet WCAG, Section 508, and EN 301 549 standards. You will identify, test, and remediate accessibility issues across web platforms, partnering with Engineering and Design to embed accessible practices from the ground up.

This is an opportunity for someone early in their accessibility career to grow technically while making a meaningful impact within a global, hybrid/remote work

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of accessibility experience (internships, coursework, or projects welcome).
• Familiar with WCAG guidelines and assistive technologies (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver).
• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript related to accessible web development.
• Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and collaborate with customers.
• Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing against WCAG 2.2 AA, EN 301 549, and Section 508 standards.
• Document accessibility defects and coordinate remediation with cross-functional teams.
• Support accessibility audits during the development lifecycle.
• Help maintain accessibility documentation (VPATs, Roadmaps, Statements).
• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to advocate accessible design and development.
• Stay current on evolving accessibility standards and assistive technologies.
